
Southern Rap Duo T.H.U.G. M.A.F.I.A. (Tha Hardworking Underestimated Gentlemen Making All Finances In Appropriate Wayz) was formed in Eastpoint, Ga in 2001. The group consists of two members, Death Trap (Benjamin Gulley) & K-Steel (Kevia Stills).
The groups music style consists of G-Funk which originated on the west coast by legendary artists Above the law signed to the late great Eazy E’s Ruthless Records & Southern Rap Tunes made famous by U.G.K.
The group got there start by performing at venues in & around the A at Club 291 on Campbellton Rd, Throwbaccs, Sub-Zero, Jay’s Place, & the Crowes Nest just to name a few.
Their debut album entitled “Eternal Thuggin” released in 2010 received many positive reviews. The single “G-Funk Oval Crunk ” was highly requested due to its B-Side Street Anthem, the highly favored “Midnite Creep ” which a video was filmed off Crenshaw in South Central L.A.
The group would later release the singles “Raw” & “Officer Enemy ” off there Double sophomore album ” Fate & Consequencez mainly produced by Death Trap. T.H.U.G. M.A.F.I.A. gives respect to artists that influenced their style such as Zapp & Roger, N.W.A. Ice Cube, Eazy E, 2PAC, CMW, SPICE 1, Too Short, E-40, DJ Quik, SCREWED UP CLICK, DPG, Organized Noise, Ghetto Mafia, Geto Boys, UGK, Fat Pat, Nas, Twista, Bone, C-Bo, Dru Down, Dayton Family.
